Eagan, Minnesota Nov. 15, 2004 --- If you¹re in need of information about Microsoft and its products, "Who you gonna call?" The answer, says Microsoft, is Andrew Troelsen and Tom Barnaby of Intertech . Both men were recently named among its "Most Valuable Professionals," which recognizes professionals who are "consistently active and credible experts in worldwide technical communities." The MVP recognition also rewards those professionals who "demonstrate technical passion and an enthusiasm to share their expertise about Microsoft products."

Troelsen is the international and best-selling author of C# and the .NET Platform, which won the 2003 Referenceware Excellence Award for Programming Book of the Year and was a 2002 Jolt Award finalist. His book has been translated into nine languages and currently is being updated for the third edition. Troelsen also is the author of Visual Basic .NET and the .NET Platform: An Advanced Guide, and COM and .NET. He also is the best-selling ATL/COM author of Developer¹s Workshop to COM and ATL 3.0. Troelsen teaches and mentors enterprise web developers at leading U.S. organizations in his capacity as an instructor at Intertech . His training clients include NASA, Microsoft Corporation, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Wells Fargo and the Mayo Clinic. Troelsen is a partner at Intertech and is responsible for managing the company¹s publishing partnership with Apress (, a California-based publishing company.

Tom Barnaby is an instructor and software architect at Intertech. He has written several books, including Distributed .NET Programming in C# and Applied .NET Attributes. He has developed courses on Visual Basic .NET, C# and distributed .NET programming for Intertech clients, including Lockheed Martin, Target Corporation, ThoughtWorks and Microsoft. Barnaby is a member of the INETA Speaker¹s Bureau and presents to .NET user groups across the nation. He also is a regular speaker at national conferences and events, including VSLive and DevDays. He was recently recognized by the regional Microsoft office as a charter member of the "Twin Cities Developer¹s Roundtable," which includes the most influential and well-known developers, speakers and authors in the region.
