The agreement includes a line-up of Intertech instructors, . “The new Intertech Instructor Series represents a significant development in the software training world,” said Intertech President Tom Salonek. “We’re delighted that our distinguished trainers have agreed to participate in the agreement with Apress, which we believe will result in the most comprehensive, practical, and authoritative software training series available today.” Noted author and Apress co-founderr and publisher Gary Cornell said, “This series is going to be extremely useful to developers at all levels. By leveraging the skills of the very well respected and well-known Intertech trainers, we are sure to give the professional what he or she wants to know. We’re very pleased to be partnering with Intertech to make the Intertech Instructor Series a reality.” The initial Intertech trainers to release books in the Intertech Instructor Series include: • Steve Close, an experienced software developer and trainer, has particular experience in Java. Steve is a Sun Certified Java Trainer and has authored workshops for Intertech on RMI, JDBC, Java Beans and EJB, as well as , Server-Side Java, and EJB. He is the former President of the Twin Cities Java User Group. His book, Server-Side Java, is expected to be released by Apress during winter 2001. • Gina McGhee, has experience in all aspects of programming, from mainframe to middle-tier component development to Web application development. As an Intertech instructor, she has developed workshops in ASP, XML, and BizTalk. Her book, XML .NET Namespaces, is expected to be released by Apress in October 2001. • Andrew Sondgeroth has worked as a developer, designer, and team lead for more than 20 software deliverables. He is a Java Certified Programmer, MCSD, and instructs at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business Management Center on e-Business. Sondgeroth’s book, Java Beans, is expected to be released by Apress in Winter 2001. • Andrew Troelsen is Vice President of Training and Technology and partner at Intertech-Inc. He is the best-selling author of Developer’s Workshop to COM and ATL 3.0. Troelsen has extensive experience developing and teaching classic COM using ATL, C#, and .NET.
